Man or Astro-man? is a surf rock band formed in 1992 in Auburn, Alabama (USA). Its members argued to be aliens whose ship crashed into the Earth, so they decided to form a band in order to infiltrate among humans.
Mainly instrumental, the songs were a mix of classic surf rock and punk sounds, all within an atmosphere of science fiction clearly reflected in the concept of the band. He was also very common to use snippets audio (samplers) taken from old films and TV fiction. Their live performances are characterized by high levels of energy exhibited by the members to play, clothing similar to astronauts, extravagant set design, video projections of images of science fiction and the use of devices like Tesla coils and theremins in stage. 1993
